Commencement 2022 Livestreams

On June 11-12 starting at 9 a.m. PDT, livestreams for All Campus Commencement, undergraduate college, Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs, Rady School of Management, and School of Global Policy and Strategy commencement ceremonies will be available on this website’s homepage and on each registered graduate’s profile page on the Yearbook website.


A recording of each ceremony will be available on registered graduate’s Yearbook page about two hours after the ceremony. Please encourage friends and family to visit your Yearbook page to view the ceremony and leave messages of congratulations.


Transportation and Parking

Transportation and parking will be impacted beginning Friday, June 10, 2022, due to Commencement 2022 ceremonies and move-out activities. Plan to arrive a minimum of one to two hours prior to the start of your ceremony to allow ample time to park and walk to the entrance. Keep in mind, traffic will be heavy leaving campus after the ceremonies as well. Please allow for an hour to depart. Please follow all event signage and directions of traffic management staff for access to the best available parking or drop off locations. Parking will be available on campus at no charge.

Parking

  • Parking for the undergraduate college ceremonies will be available on Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12. Follow signage and traffic management personnel to the best available parking. Once parked, proceed on foot to the check-in area in Lot P357, near the Rady School of Management or the Ridgewalk entrance, near RIMAC Arena.
  • Parking for the Division of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs, Rady School of Management, and the School of Global Policy and Strategy ceremonies will be available on Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12. Follow signage and traffic management personnel to the best available parking. Upon arrival, proceed on foot to the Ridgewalk entrance, near RIMAC Arena.
  • Parking for the Class of 2020 ceremony will be available on Friday, June 10. Follow signage and traffic management personnel to the best available parking. Once parked, proceed on foot to the check-in area in Lot P357, near the Rady School of Management.

Accessibility and ADA parking

From the I-5 freeway, exit at La Jolla Village Drive and head west. Make a right turn on Villa La Jolla Drive and follow the commencement ADA signage to the parking structure closest to the ceremony site. Exit toward the bottom of the parking structure, out to the street level. Follow signage to the nearby ADA cart shuttles, where you will pass through a security screening and be on your way to the field location via cart.

Alternative Transportation to Campus

Campus Road Closures

Hopkins Drive will be closed from UCSD Northpoint Driveway to the intersection of Hopkins Drive and Voigt Drive.

Security

For the safety of all, security will be tight. Please allow extra time to wait in line for security checks and potential health and safety symptom screening. All bags will be thoroughly searched.

There are no on-site lockers, storage, or holding areas.

No animals or assistance animals permitted, except for service dogs specifically trained to assist a person with a disability.

  • Animals or assistance animals, except for service animals specifically trained to assist a person with a disability
  • Bags or backpacks larger than 12" x 12" x 20"
  • Balloons
  • Banners, signs or placards
  • Coolers
  • Drones
  • Explosives
  • Fireworks
  • Food and drink; water will be available
  • Knives (regardless of size)
  • Laser lights and laser pointers
  • Leatherman or similar tools
  • Noisemakers, such as air horns, whistles or drums
  • Plastic replica of weapons
  • Portable or folding chairs
  • Sharp and/or pointed objects, scissors or knitting needles
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Strollers: Please leave your stroller in the car. Space will be limited, and there is no stroller check-in. Strollers may not be left in aisles at any time. If you must bring a stroller, we suggest a small, collapsible "umbrella" stroller that can be folded and placed under the chairs
  • Tripods for cameras
  • Umbrellas and long pole objects, balloons and other floating items, or other items that block the view of other guests
  • Voice-enhancement devices, such as bullhorns
  • Weapons
