Limited Mobility

We highly recommend bringing your mobility device as needed. The venues are spaced out and we will not have mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.) available for public use.

Graduating Student Accommodations

Guest Accommodations

Disabled Parking

Ceremonies at LionTree and RIMAC Field

Disabled parking is available in the Hopkins Parking Structure. Follow the directional signs from the freeway exits and use the map below. Note that there will be road closures west of the I-5 freeway.

Commencement Event Day Map Directions

Ceremonies at Epstein Family Amphitheater

Disabled parking is available in the Gilman Parking Structure. Exit the I-5 freeway at La Jolla Village Drive and head west. Turn right onto Villa La Jolla Drive, and the parking structure will be two blocks ahead.

Rideshare

Ceremonies at LionTree and RIMAC Field

Disabled guests taking rideshare options will be directed toward the rideshare drop-off area, located in Lot P357. ADA carts to either LionTree Arena or RIMAC Field are available for the person requiring the cart and one guest, all other members of the party are asked to walk to the entrance.

Ceremonies at Epstein Family Amphitheater

Disabled guests taking rideshare options should be dropped off at the turn around by the Conrad Prebys Music Center. ADA carts to the venue are available for the person requiring the cart and one guest, all other members of the party are asked to walk to the entrance. ADA carts for guests will be available on a limited basis.

Accessibility and Getting to the Ceremonies

Accessibility Map - LionTree and RIMAC

RIMAC Field

  • ADA cart required:
    • Exit Hopkins Parking Structure on the 2nd floor and follow signs for the ADA carts parked directly north of the parking structure. Carts are available for the person requiring the cart and one guest, all other members of the party are asked to walk to the entrance.
  • Limited mobility, but don’t want to use a cart:
    • Exit Hopkins Parking Structure on the 7th floor and follow signs toward Ridgewalk. RIMAC Field will be .3 miles to the north on Ridgewalk, with ramp access to the field.
  • Portable ADA accessible restrooms are available on the field.
  • Shade is not guaranteed, hats are suggested. Umbrellas are not allowed.
  • Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

LionTree Arena

  • ADA cart required:
    • Exit Hopkins Parking Structure on the 2nd floor and follow signs for the ADA carts parked directly north of the parking structure. Carts are available for the person requiring the cart and one guest, all other members of the party are asked to walk to the entrance. 
  • Limited mobility, but don’t want to use a cart:
    • Exit Hopkins Parking Structure on the 7th floor and follow signs toward Ridgewalk. LionTree Arena will be .2 miles to the north on Ridgewalk.
  • Accessible indoor restrooms available.
  • Limited snacks available for purchase.

Epstein Family Amphitheater

  • ADA carts are available for the person requiring the cart and one guest, all other members of the party are asked to walk to the entrance.
  • Limited mobility, but don’t want to use a cart:
    • Exit Gilman Parking Structure on the 2nd floor. Epstein Family Amphitheater is .3 miles north from the parking garage.
  • Accessible restrooms available at Epstein Family Amphitheater or nearby at the Design and Innovation Building.

Hearing Impaired

Captions will be on all screens during the ceremonies. If closed captions will not suffice, requests for American Sign Language interpretation must be made by Friday, June 9, 2023.

Assistive Listening Devices will be available by request.

Streaming and Closed Captions

We will have English captions on all screens, and will provide links to livestreams that will have captions in Spanish and Mandarin.
