Transportation and parking will be impacted beginning Friday evening, June 15, due to Commencement 2018 ceremonies and move-out activities. Plan to arrive at least an hour prior to the start of your ceremony to allow ample time to park and walk or shuttle, where offered, to RIMAC Field or RIMAC Arena.
We strongly recommend carpooling, ride-sharing, or using public transportation. Parking will be extremely limited.
Event attendees who have an accessibility need will be allowed to park in Hopkins Parking Structure. Please enter the campus from Campus Point Drive off of Genesee Avenue and follow the direction of the parking attendants. Motorized cart service will be available for individuals requiring assistance and one guest. Able-bodied guests will be asked to walk and meet their party at the entrance to RIMAC Field or RIMAC Arena nearby.
We appreciate your cooperation and support during this exciting event. If you have questions about parking or transportation, contact TellTPS@ucsd.edu.
Hopkins Drive will be closed from Friday, June 15, at 8:00 p.m. through Sunday, June 17, at 10:00 p.m.
The following roads will be open for move-out traffic only and special accommodations, where indicated below, between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16:

These lots will be closed from Friday, June 15, at 6:00 p.m. through Sunday, June 17, at 10:00 p.m.:
During this very busy weekend of June 16–17, access routes onto campus, parking lots, and structures may be intermittently closed due to traffic or event control. Vehicles parked in these areas will be allowed to leave; attendants will direct drivers to specific exits and re-entry may be denied.
Students who have parked vehicles at any facility can leave them parked through Commencement 2018 activities. All regular parking rules and restrictions apply.
For the safety of all, security will be tight. Please allow extra time to wait in line for security checks. All bags will be thoroughly searched. All graduates and guests will walk through a metal detector.
There are no on-site lockers, storage, or holding areas.
